We Invite you to Experience Sauna Luxury in the Beauty of the Wasatch Mountains
Enjoy the practice of a traditional Nordic sauna nestled high up in the Wasatch Mountains.
The deep heat of the sauna contrasts with the chilly, peaceful waters to leave you feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and energized.
Our communal sauna includes a privacy / changing room for your bags and towels, a hot room with comfortable seating for up to eight, an outdoor shower, cold plunge, and space with nearby seating for your cool down.
-
Our sauna is located inside the beautiful Wasatch Mountain State Park, behind the parking lot of the Visitor’s Center. For directions, please visit our Contact page. Also, we advise using Google Maps rather than Apple Maps for navigation to the sauna.
-
The sauna is open daily from 6am to 11pm. Please check our website or contact us for any special holiday hours. You can see our Google business profile listing here: https://share.google/zrKJGfAs7xBZkL7b6

Our facilities include private sauna rooms, cold plunge, outdoor shower, Adirondack chairs, speaker for music (you can plug in your phone), as well as a shelf full of accoutrements (essential oils, reading materials, card games, and more). Nearby there are men’s and women’s restrooms managed by the park and open year-round.
-
All our saunas are shared (or communal), for up to eight spaces per session, ensuring a social experience for our guests. But you can reach out to us to learn about options for booking the whole sauna for a private session.
-
Stay hydrated before and after your session, avoid heavy meals beforehand, and relax to maximize the benefits of the sauna.
We keep the saunas at a target temperature of 190F, which is greatly aided by opening the door as little and as quickly as possible. Löyly, the practice of creating steam in a sauna by pouring small amounts of water over the hot stones, is allowed.
-
Guests with certain medical conditions, such as heart problems, respiratory issues, or pregnancy, should consult a doctor before using the sauna. If you feel unwell, please avoid using the sauna.
-
For new sauna users, spending 10-15 minutes per round with cool-downs in between is recommended.
Your first round might be longer, especially if you start with a cold body temperature. That first sweat can take 10-15 minutes. Remember: listen to your body. It’s not a competition to see who can withstand the highest amount of heat the longest.
Consider 2-3 rounds with cold showers or a cold plunge in between to maximize health benefits.
Above all else, take it easy and listen to your body.
The Health Benefits of Regular Sauna Use
Saunas offer an array of health benefits, significantly enhancing both physical health and mental well-being. Regular use of a sauna can stimulate circulation, thereby promoting improved cardiovascular health. The gentle heat induces the dilation of blood vessels, resulting in increased blood flow, which can help lower blood pressure and reduce stress on the heart.
Additionally, the elevated temperature in a sauna encourages perspiration, a natural process that helps detoxify the body. Through sweating, toxins and impurities are effectively removed via the skin, supporting the body's innate cleansing processes and promoting clearer, healthier skin.
Beyond physical benefits, sauna use is widely recognized for its positive impact on mental health. The heat and tranquility of a sauna can reduce stress and anxiety, providing a serene environment conducive to relaxation and mindfulness. Regular sauna sessions have also been shown to enhance mood, improve sleep quality, and foster overall emotional balance, making it an essential component of a comprehensive wellness routine.
